Students and Volunteers

We welcome students and volunteers who would like to become part of the Amington Heath community. Volunteering in school can be a rewarding opportunity to contribute to children’s experiences while developing your own confidence, skills and experience.

We welcome applications from people from all sections of our local community, as well as students seeking school-based placements.

Interested in joining us?

Anyone wishing to volunteer or complete a student placement should contact the school office in the first instance.

Before beginning at Amington Heath, students and volunteers will receive an induction covering safeguarding, confidentiality, professional expectations and their role within school. We will also explain the support and guidance they can expect from us.

All students and volunteers are subject to the appropriate safeguarding and safer recruitment checks for their role before beginning their placement or volunteering. This may include an enhanced DBS check and, where required, a check of the Children’s Barred List.
