More opportunities before and after the school day

At Amington Heath, we offer free provision before and after school to support our families and give children even more opportunities to eat, play, explore their interests and spend time with friends.

Free Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club is completely free and is available to all children from Reception to Year 6.

Breakfast Club opens at 8:00am. The last entry is at 8:30am, and children remain in Breakfast Club until the start of the school day at 8:40am.

Children can enjoy a range of healthy breakfast options and take part in relaxed, supervised activities before school.

Activities vary and may include:

  • colouring and crafts
  • games
  • sports and physical activities
  • technology
  • films
  • quiet and social activities

Breakfast Club is free, but places must be booked in advance through ParentPay.

Free After-School Clubs

We run an after-school club every school day, open to children from Reception to Year 6.

All of our after-school clubs are free of charge and run from the end of the school day until 4:15pm.

Our programme changes each half term and is designed to give children opportunities to try new things, develop their interests and enjoy spending time with friends.

Activities vary throughout the year and may include:

  • sport and physical activities
  • arts and crafts
  • cooking
  • technology
  • games
  • other creative and enrichment activities

All after-school clubs must be booked in advance through ParentPay. Places are limited and availability will vary depending on the activity.

Wraparound Childcare

Our free Breakfast Club provides before-school provision from 8:00am, and our free after-school clubs run until 4:15pm each school day.

We do not currently provide wraparound childcare beyond 4:15pm as we have not identified sufficient parental demand for later provision.

Parents and carers have the right to request that the school considers providing additional wraparound childcare. If you require childcare beyond 4:15pm, please contact the school office in writing, including the days and times of childcare you require.

We record requests and keep demand for wraparound childcare under review. Where a request is received, we will consider it in line with Department for Education and Staffordshire County Council guidance and will keep parents informed of the outcome.

Booking

Both Breakfast Club and our after-school clubs must be booked in advance through ParentPay.

After-school club places are limited, so we recommend booking promptly when each new half-term programme is released.
